Isn't She A Beaut?
Can't you just picture it now? Check out this exclusive sneak peak of the new Grooming Lounge store in Atlanta. Luxury from wall to wall is the decor as you can clearly see.
Ahhh c'mon... we're just pulling your collective legs fellas. No, not about the current state of our space in the beautiful Terminus building in Buckhead. That's really how it looked as of last week. But trust us, it's gonna look like a million bucks (and unfortunately, might cost about that much too) when it's done. We're still on track for a December opening if all falls into place (including that plumbing quagmire you see above).
Opening our first store outside of the D.C. Metro-area has taught us a few things:
- People in the South really are nice. It's amazing the pride they take in their work and the level of respect they provide. Not trying to ruffle any feathers, but when building out our local stores it always felt as if the contractors thought we were doing them a favor by honoring them with our business. It's the opposite so far down there. Very refreshing.
- Traffic in Atlanta is horrible. We thought people were kidding when they said it was worse than D.C. They were most certainly not.
- Georgia guys take a lot of pride in their appearance. During our trips down there we've seen more than our fair share of dapper dudes. Nice suits, shoes and the cleanliness and quality of the cars is astonishing.
- Great food. Two words -- The Vortex.
Thanks for listening. More updates on GL, ATL coming soon.
